fILM APPRECIATION

With the popularity of online streaming services and the lack of an operating movie theater, opportunities for residents to enjoy a group movie experience in Taylor have been extremely limited.

Thanks to funding from the Leo Livingston Foundation, Good Life Taylor launched Taylor Film Society in 2025 as its newest Art in the Park program. Taylor Film Society is a monthly, cinematic arts appreciation program that brings an eclectic collection of unique films to entertain, enlighten and inspire.

With no admission costs to most screenings, participants don’t have leave Taylor or buy expensive streaming services or licensing to enjoy quality entertainment with other cinephiles.

Films are shown at the Dickey-Givens Community Center located in Robinson Park. Free popcorn is made fresh at every screening, but please bring your own beverages or other snacks.

Films are selected mainly for an adult audience. Youth are welcome, but children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. We will note content rating when available but encourage parents and guardians to determine if a film is appropriate before attending.

FILMS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC UNLESS NOTED.
